The film "Rosas danst Rosas" is not just a recording but a cinematic adaptation of the original stage production of the same name created for four dancers in 1983 for the Kaaitheater Festival to music by Thierry De Mey and Peter Vermeersch. The eye of the camera underlines both the coercive character and the subtle emotional accents of the architectural choreography. The personalities of the dancers break through this construction continuously. The various casts that have been dancing this piece in the film illustrate the evolution of the choreography's interpretation.
"Rosas danst Rosas" ist keine bloße Aufzeichnung, sondern eine filmische Umsetzung der ursprünglichen Bühnenversion für vier Tänzerinnen, die 1983 für das Kaaitheater-Festival mit Musik von Thierry De Mey und Peter Vermeersch entstand. Die Kamera unterstreicht sowohl die zwingende Struktur als auch die subtilen emotionellen Elemente des choreographischen Aufbaus. Immer wieder durchbrechen die Persönlichkeiten der Tänzerinnen dieses Konstrukt.
