"Tippeke" is a short dance film directed by Thierry De Mey and danced by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Wandering through the woods and running across changing landscapes, she narrates an old Flemish children's song about "Tippeke", a little boy who refuses to go home, unless his mother carries him. The old-fashioned compiling structure of the story awakes the child that slumbers in all of us.
"Tippeke" was part of Rosas' 1996 production "Woud". The choreography and dance are inspired by the work of the German Valeska Gert.

"Tippeke" ist ein kurzer Tanzfilm von Regisseur Thierry De Mey, getanzt von Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Durch Wälder und wechselnde Landschaften streifend und laufend, erzählt sie das alte flämische Kinderlied von "Tippeke", dem kleinen Jungen, der sich so lange weigert, nach Hause zu gehen, bis ihn seine Mutter trägt. Die altertümliche Struktur der Geschichte weckt das Kind, das in uns allen schlummert.
"Tippeke" war Teil der Rosas-Produktion "Woud", 1996. Die Choreographie inspiriert sich am Werk der Deutschen Valeska Gert.
