XThe author and narrator of the programme Galina Mshanskaya takes the viewer to the Royal box of the Mariynsky Theatre (the Kirov Ballet) to make an interview with a legendary ballerina of the 20th century, Galina Ulanova, who reveals the secrets of her artistic and pedagogical skills. This was to be the last interview given by Galina Mshanskaya, who died in March 1998, aged 88. The programme also features archive material and excerpts from ballets performed by Ulanova and her pupils.
