"The Square" is a closely conceived collaboration between dance and film. The square at the heart of the choreography is reflected by the frame of the screen. Bodies encounter space with movements either vertical or horizontal, occasionally interrupting the frame or hovering on the edge. The two environments (inside and outside) reflect a controlled world and an interrupted world.
The presentation of the two screens can be at right angles to each other accentuating elements of space and time, or viewed straight on as a dialogue takes place between the projected images.

"The Square" ("Das Quadrat") ist ein enges Zusammenspiel von Tanz und Film. Das Quadrat, als Herzstück der Choreographie, wird durch einen Bildschirm ausgedrückt.
Körper begegnen dem Raum mit vertikalen oder horizontalen Bewegungen, die Aufnahme ab und zu unterbrechend oder am Bildschirmrand herumlungernd. Diese zwei Ebenen (Innen und Außen) spiegeln eine kontrollierte und unterbrochene Welt wider.
Die Darstellung der beiden Bildschirme kann im rechten Winkel erfolgen, indem die Elemente Raum und Zeit betont oder geradeaus betrachtet werden - als ein Dialog zwischen den projizierten Bildern.
