The company of ballet director Martin Puttke singles itself out by its stylistic and thematic diversity. Its repertoire stretches from John Cranko's classical ballets to new works by contemporary choreographers, such as Birgit Scherzer and Ramon Oller.
On the opening evening of the Dance Fair NRW, the company will present two pieces from the "Geschlossene Gesellschaft" (Closed Society) program. "Jardi Tancat", in the choreography by Nacho Duato, was awarded first prize at the 1983 Choreographic Competition in Cologne. "Ashes", by Daniela Kurz, was premiered in 1995, at the Bern Municipal Theater.
