Ballett Schindowski, Gelsenkirchen



In 1978 Bernd Schindowski was appointed ballet director at the Gelsenkichen District Music Theater. The main concern of a ballet director is to "guide into the adventure of dance theater". Schindowski's productions are always a challenge to the public, to take part in the adventure, to tread paths over new and unfamiliar terrain together with him in order to learn to see the old anew.

Bernd Schindowski's special merit is his work for children. He regularly stages productions especially for this audience.

At the Dance Fair NRW Schindowski's "Das kriminelle Kind" (The Criminal Child), to a text by Jean Genet and "E muoio disperato", by Javier De Frutos, will be presented.
