Henrietta Horn, Essen
Henrietta Horn, a native of Berlin, took up her studies at the
Cologne Sports Academy, majoring in Elementary Dance. In 1991
she won the first prize at the Cologne Choreographic Competition.
In 1992 Horn began her studies in stage dance at the Folkwang
Academy in Essen. At the same time, together with Catherina Gadelha
and Suna Göncü, she founded the dance ensemble Terza
e Uno, which existed until 1996. Henrietta Horn has received many
awards for her choreography. In 1995 she won first prize at the
Prix Volinin in Paris, in 1996 she was a prize winner at the "dialoog
cultuur - NL in NRW" choreographic competition.
"Gewege" (Patterns), her first full evening-length program,
premiered in 1997 within the framework of the New Dance Meeting.
The production consists of five choreographies which are loosely
connected with one another.
