Der Eintänzer
Rebecca Horn, 1978, 45'

The film Der Eintänzer originated in Rebecca Horn's New York studio at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Broadway. All presented performers have their individual history: the ballet teacher and her students, the twins, the young man who wants to play on a mini grand piano, the blind old man who wants to learn to dance the tango and the Japanese cook who play the flute… even the black table which, seduced by the music, starts dancing a 'mechanical' tango: “his fast movements give him the presence of an extraordinary gentleman, of an Eintänzer.
