The foundation SK Stiftung Kultur is an integral part of the Cologne cultural landscape. It is dedicated to the promotion of reading and literature, media art education, and it presents the Kölner Tanz- und Theaterpreise (Cologne Dance and Theater Award). The Foundation includes Die Photographische Sammlung (Photography Collection), the Deutsche Tanzarchiv Köln (German Dance Archive Cologne), and the Akademie för uns kölsche Sproch (Kölsch Language Academy), and is continually also the organizer of large cooperation projects such as the Sommer Köln (Summer Cologne).

About the Foundation

The SK Stiftung Kultur der Sparkasse KölnBonn is an independent private foundation based in Cologne. With an endowment of 38.3 million euros it is one of the largest foundations in the Deutschen Sparkassen- und Giroverband (German Savings Banks Association, DSGV).

Publications

The thematic focuses as regards the activities of the SK Stiftung Kultur are set forth in the foundation’s charter. The projects and activities are documented and disclosed to the public in the annual activity report.
